Erstwhile Rangers outfielder and current Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton continued to display his ability for not knowing when or how to keep his mouth shut in baseball matters (no matter what team he plays for) by saying DFW is not a “true baseball town” in an interview that aired Sunday night.
Personally, I’ve been trying to avoid all the Hamilton hoopla and excessive drama since his move to the Angels. I know he’s going to say dumb things, but every once in a while there are some real crazy sound bytes that get through to me. There are a lot of things I thought about saying on this latest ill-advised comment by Hamilton, but fortunately, Michael Gruber, one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter, pretty much said it all. On the bright side, as another person whom I follow observed, at least this is creating a mess the Angels have to clean up just a few days into spring training.
